Where and what you eat and drink this week can help fight AIDS.

 

From TODAY through June 10, each of my restaurants will offer a (RED) special, a percentage of the proceeds of which will be donated to the Global Fund.

 

Below are the (RED) dishes you’ll find at each of our restaurants. But this is just meant to whet your appetite. Stop by one of the restaurants and order a (RED) dish!!

(RED) was created by Bono and Bobby Shriver in 2006 to engage millions of people in the greatest challenge of our time – the fight to end AIDS in Africa where 2/3 of the world’s estimated 35 million people with HIV/AIDS live. They work with the worlds most iconic brands from Apple to Beats By Dre and have engaged the culinary community this year, targeting Michelin-rated chefs to food trucks and everything in-between.

 

WHAT IS THE GLOBAL FUND & HOW DOES IT USE (RED) DOLLARS? (RED) was created to help provide a sustainable flow of money from the private sector to fight AIDS. They’ve raised over $250 million to date through the sale of (RED) products from iconic companies – like Apple and Starbucks – and from (RED) events. 100% of the money raised goes to work on the ground through (RED) Global Fund grants.

 

To date, (RED) has generated more than $250 million for the Global Fund to fight AIDS, to support HIV/AIDS grants in Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania and Zambia. 100 percent of that money goes to work on the ground – no overhead is taken. Global Fund grants that (RED) supports have impacted more than 40 million people with prevention, treatment, counselling, HIV testing and care services.
