Honeydew Frosty


Serves 4

1 ripe honeydew

1 tablespoon pink peppercorns

¼ cup agave syrup

½ teaspoon maldon salt

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups ice

¼ cup cream

1 whole nutmeg, for dusting (or about 1/8 teaspoon ground)

6 ounces rye, optional


Peel and seed a ripe honeydew melon, chop it into 1-inch cubes and allow them to sit for 15 minutes with pink peppercorns, agave syrup, Maldon salt and vanilla extract. Put in a blender with ice and cream, then blend and pour into tall glasses.


Dust with nutmeg, add a shot of rye to each, if desired, and slurp at once.
