The Batali Inquisition: John Leguizamo

Medium is a new place on the Internet where people share ideas and stories that are longer than 140 characters and not just for friends. It’s designed for little stories that make your day better and manifestos that change the world. It’s used by everyone from professional journalists to amateur cooks. It’s simple, beautiful, collaborative, and it helps you find the right audience for whatever you have to say.

I’m thrilled to be a contributor to Medium and will be putting out a new “Batali Inquisition” twice monthly!  Click here to learn more about Medium.

Q: WHAT’S THE FOOD THAT REMINDS YOU OF FAMILY?

A: Well, it’s got to be Colombian food cause my Mom is and she’s a great cook. She’ll still make some ajiaco, (soup with some rare Colombian potato papas criollas) then some maduro (plantain sweet) with guava paste baked and some killer lentils and piece of juicy skirt steak. Lip smacking good.

An HBO favorite returns for his fifth solo special on the network when JOHN LEGUIZAMO’S GHETTO KLOWN debuts Saturday, March 22nd (10:00-11:45 p.m. ET/PT). Adapting his Drama Desk Award-winning one-man stage show, the special leads the audience on a hilarious and touching roller-coaster ride through the highs and lows of Leguizamo’s personal and professional life, featuring vivid accounts of the colorful characters that have populated his story.

Watch it!! It’s brilliant and I love it!
