Serves 4 people
8 slices pullman loaf
8 ounces buffalo mozzarella, thinly sliced
8 ounces fontina cheese, thinly sliced
2 teaspoons thyme leaves
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
4 teaspoons truffle honey, warmed
To build sandwiches, take 4 slices of bread. Top each with a slice of mozzarella and a slice of fontina. Sprinkle ½ teaspoon of fresh thyme leaves. Place remaining 4 slices on top to close sandwich. Spread both outsides of the sandwich generously with butter.
Preheat a non-stick sauté pan or griddle over medium heat. Once the pan is hot, cook sandwiches until golden on both sides and cheese has melted.
Immediately drizzle with truffle honey, slice diagonally and serve.
