Makes 2 drinks
2 tbsp sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
4 ounces tequila blanco
6 ounces fresh-pressed apple cider
Apple slices, for garnish
On a small plate or saucer, mix the sugar and cinnamon until well combined.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add tequila. Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice into the shaker. Reserve the skins.
Add cider and shake vigorously.
Use one of the squeezed-out lime halves to moisten the rims of two chilled rocks glasses. Roll the tips of the glasses through the cinnamon sugar to coat.
Add fresh ice to the glasses, garnish each with an apple slice, then pour out the autumn margaritas and serve at once.
